Lee Hae-in Wins in Kazakhstan, Adds Another Medal in Georgia

South Korean national figure skater Lee Hae-in has reached the podium in two consecutive ISU Challenger Series events. After winning the 2025 ISU Denis Ten Memorial Challenge in Almaty, Kazakhstan last week, Lee secured another medal at the 2025 ISU CS Trialeti Trophy in Tbilisi, Georgia, earning the bronze medal with a total score of 183.28 points.

The competition, held October 8–11 at Tbilisi Ice Palace, was the eighth event of the 2025–26 ISU Challenger Series, featuring strong international competitors. In the final results of the women’s singles event, Anastasiia Gubanova (Georgia) won the gold medal with 203.69 points, Mariia Seniuk (Israel) claimed silver with 185.80 points, and Lee Hae-in (Korea) finished third with 183.28 points.

Lee delivered a stable performance in the short program, placing third, and maintained her momentum in the free skating, holding onto her position to secure the bronze medal. Following her season-opening victory in Kazakhstan, Lee’s second consecutive podium finish highlights her continued development in both technical execution and artistic expression.

International figure skating analysts noted that Lee has regained stability since last season’s World Championships, steadily improving her technical consistency. They also praised the maturity of her program interpretation, emphasizing that the back-to-back podium finishes carry significance beyond the results themselves. Her performances early in the season demonstrate that she is fully capable of competing with the world’s top-ranked skaters.

Lee was also the only Asian skater to win consecutive medals at the two events, once again demonstrating the competitiveness of Korean figure skating on the global stage. Her strong start to the season is expected to provide important momentum as she prepares for the Grand Prix Series, World Championships, and the Olympic stage.

“I’ve gained confidence by achieving strong results early in the season,” Lee said. “I want to continue this momentum through the Olympics and deliver my best performance on the biggest stage.”
